I don't profess to be a cook...in fact I cry wolf whenever I can. But last night I was inspired to make Baked pork chops in a sauce (made with Cr of Mushroom soup) so I put it all in my baking dish complete with potatoes...covered it and put it in the oven- set the timer and went about my business. After about 25 minutes I noticed smoke pouring out of the upper vent on my stove- the gravy had bubbled over and covered the bottom of my oven!!! The house still stinks! I spent 2 hours today scrubbing baked on gravy till my hands ached! I hate porkchops!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS I FORGOT THE OVEN CLEANING TIP....DON'T BAKE!
Considering this exact thing just happened in my house tonight (except it was scalloped potatoes with ham), I feel for you! It seems to happen spontaneously, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from the Bella Creations Newsletter. I look forward to reading more.
Or, forget meat and bake cookies! LOL
ReplyDeletePork chops! I have been determined this year not to let them beat me! Always to dry, actually burnt or just inedible. I have now found a method to make the world's best - e-mail me if you actually want it!
ReplyDeleteNatural ingredients remove the toughest dried-on splatters and spills, burned-on grease, baked-on food, and sticky messes without hazardous chemicals or toxic fumes.
