Lazy me!

I am such a flibberdigibet!!! I am back to crafting...as of late I have been making crocheted character hats...I will post photos soon...and I am back at my scrappy table!!!!

What a month...

This past month has been one of my most difficult!!!  For those who have SDD(Sever Depression Disorder) you can probably understand.  Every few years I seem to 'drop my basket'...my meds quit working and I panic...thank God for family and friends to help me hold it together until I am on correct meds and feeling like my HiHappy self.  I'm back :)

Babies are Home...I am Home

Well the twins are home with thier family as they should be and both are off of Oxygen!!! Getting bigger a little everyday...Aria is around 7.8 lbs. and Alex is around 7.4 lbs.  They are the size of newborns now...not bad for over 2 months old!
I am home from an extended vacation and am anxious to get in my craft room and get my hands dirty!

A day at the NICU

I spent the day at the NICU with my daughter and her beautiful twins...they are doing so well that possibly by weeks end they can come home... here are a few pictures from my day there :)

We are off to visit the youngest family member...my sweet grandson Logan(and his parents).  won't get much crafting done but I'll be back at it soon!!!

Off to Salt Lake!!!

I'm off to Salt Lake City to go to my Niece Chelsey's Bridal Shower...4 days of fun with my sissy's, my mom and nieces!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Fun Times & a Somber Day

Today my stepson Sgt. Allen Benthin deploys for Afghanistan with the 644th Regional Support Group: Task Force Scorpion [[400]] .  Keep him and his fellow soldiers in your heart and prayers until they all come home.
These pictures are from the week we spent with him and his girlfriend Stephanie at the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and lastly Las Vegas...we had an awesome time and didn't want it to end.

I was lucky enough to win 2(make that 3!!!!!) drawings for challenges this past month at http://bellacreations.ning.com/ and on top of that my blog is being spotlighted...WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I'm really new at this blogging thing but I am having a lot of fun with it.  Check out Bella Creations...it is a creative site with challenges in altered art, ATC's,  scrapbooking, cardmaking...just about anything crafty, that is so inspirational- and a group of ladies that make your day feel brighter. :)  I am still in shock!!!

Oven Cleaning 101

I don't profess to be a cook...in fact I cry wolf whenever I can.  But last night I was inspired to make Baked pork chops in a sauce (made with Cr of Mushroom soup) so I put it all in my baking dish complete with potatoes...covered it and put it in the oven- set the timer and went about my business.  After about 25 minutes I noticed smoke pouring out of the upper vent on my stove- the gravy had bubbled over and covered the bottom of my oven!!! The house still stinks!  I spent 2 hours today scrubbing baked on gravy till my hands ached!  I hate porkchops!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS I FORGOT THE OVEN CLEANING TIP....DON'T BAKE!

Back in Time

This is an altered canvas I did of a picture of myself and my 3 siblings...I plan on making a smaller one with the picture of my youngest sister to hang beside this one.  I think it would have been better if I had used Mod Pog on the paper(next time)!  Another Bella Creations challenge.

Working on christmas Crafts!

Its never to early to start working on Christmas projects...today I have been making tags and bags...I'll post them after the dry! Thanks to Bella Creations I am inspired to get it done.

Yummy Green Chili Stew

I enjoyed my daughter Aubree's Green Chili Stew tonight...I'll post her recipe as soon as she writes it down for me.  As usual Addyson was the entertainment-3 years old and still going strong when I left at 11:45 PM!!!
Got good news- my Momma's heart is A-OK...thank goodness!
I'm working on some craft projects that I will be posting in the next few days so stay tuned...

Butterflies from Soda bottles

I used empty soda bottles and my butterfly punch to create butterflies..

 Then I used glitter glue  to paint them...good recycling project! After they dry they peel right off the plastic so you can make even more... great embellies for scrapping and maybe on headbands.

'Wicked' Fun

Today my sweet hubby Mike took me to see the musical 'Wicked' - I have wanted to see this forever.  Turns out he bought the tickets 8-9 months ago.  How sweet is that.  He even enjoyed it too! I think this should become a habit!

Life in "The Tundra" aka New Mexico

The weather this past week has been so cold...we have snow and freezing temps.  It is so cold that our dog's feet freeze before she is done taking care of her business!  She just stands there and cries!  Come on Spring!
